Short Films
In addition to the feature film Bootstrapped, my production company, Comme Le Vin Productions, has produced four short films and a music video so far. This page features the ones that have been released. The company name plays with my last name, Vouvray, which is also a designated wine appellation in France.
Movement
This dramatic short is the proof-of-concept for my feature Trap Doors. It stars Libby Villari and Kelly Dealyn. It is about an elderly mother, just out of prison, who is finally allowed to reconnect with her estranged daughter. It won several awards on the festival circuit including Outstanding Direction, Best Supporting Actress, and a Platinum Remi.
IRA: Cashing In
This comedic short is about an elderly couple who use the skills they learned during the Troubles in Ireland to take on the American healthcare system. My second film, which was the winner of Best Comedy, Best Comedy Screenplay, and Best Actor.
Suspended
This dramatic short is about a teenage girl who is suspended in grief and soon suspended from her middle school. My first film, which was the winner of the Wonder Woman Award (best female filmmaker).
The Only Way Out
The music video for the song originally written for the ending credits of Bootstrapped (formerly titled All Wounds), my first feature film. It features singer/songwriter Keri Edwards.
